Busted Announce New Album

    Busted will release their new album, Half Way There, on February 8th. According to the press release, they’re going back to a pop-punk sound:


    A rush of melody and effervescent riffs that see the band blend huge arena-filling choruses with the classic pop-punk sound of Blink 182 and New Found Glory. Lyrically it’s often reflective and nostalgic (‘Reunion’, ‘All My Friends’ and a mini Busted autobiography in the shape of ‘It Happens’), but there are some fantastical flights of fancy too in the shape of ‘Shipwrecked In Atlantis’ and a tribute to Elon Musk in ‘Race To Mars’. Aside from the new album, Busted have also confirmed the details of a major UK arena tour scheduled for March 2019.

    Excited for a pop-punk sound especially with how much Charlie has absolutely killed it with everything after the original break-up of the band.

    But yeah, more Fightstar or solo work would be very much appreciated!

    The tracklisting was released, and "What Happened to Your Band?" is on it. James has been playing that song since Busted first broke up. I wonder if it will be changed now that the band he's been singing about is back.

    'What happened to your band' was my favourite song off of McBusted's album. What's the point in releasing the exact same song on a different album?!

    Yeah it sounds like the absolute bottom of complete musical awfulness. Two of the absolute worst bands to ever exist fused into one total aberration.

    I will die on this hill; I can see the appeal of BrokenCyde and Metro Station more than I can see the appeal of McFly and Busted.
