Watched all eight episodes over the weekend. The first 5 episodes start off pretty good, but then it takes a nosedive IMO. It starts off with a Curb like vibe to it, but just gets a little too disjointed. Like it seems in the beginning that there's gonna be an actual plot with his grandfather dying, the two spending more time together and seemingly helping each other deal with their individual issues. But then they just abandon that grandpa storyline and finish the season with an awkward story arc of Pete abusing drugs and being depressed...a storyline that doesn't even really wrap itself up. Was hoping the whole series would be weird adventures with Pesci and Brad Garrett. I'm kinda baffled that heavy hitters like Pesci and Falco would sign on for this, neither of their characters had real substance to them.
I enjoyed this. I agree the last few episodes were a little different tonally, but I don't think Pesci, Garrett or Falco were completely abandoned. The only episode I didn't care for, was the first one.
Finally watched this and generally enjoyed it, the Christmas episode as brutal with the obvious Suicide Squad (and I guess David Leitch) references The ending was......interesting given what recently happened
