I really enjoyed the performances but this might have been a little too weird for my tastes. I like that it got crazy though
absolutely loved this. a lot of people in my circle didn't care for it so i had somewhat tepid expectations but its been on my mind ever since i left the theater yesterday
This was fun, liked it a lot more than Poor Things. Yorg works best putting characters in crazy confined spaces and closed systems then letting the power dynamics loose. As soon as he mentioned he had bees I knew someone was getting wickerman'd
emma so good in this. the way her tone totally changes when she questions him about the other bodies was great. plemmons predictably great and loved aidan delbis' performance, heartbreaking last scene overall probably in the middle of his filmography for me but best of the recent run of the last three
this was my partner's favorite of the year. trying to see if we can snag that steelbook in person when we're traveling next week
Because Halkias is balding and overweight he becomes Plemmons' former babysitter despite being younger than him.
There was some weird age stuff in this. They also show in the flashback to Emma stone discussing plemons’ mother’s condition with him her clearly being in the CEO role and him looking like a teen despite the actors being the same age
they did say the character was in her mid 40's though so I think she was meant to be older than Emma actually is.
Sure it seems like that’s the case for her and plemons’ character is seemingly mid 20s, which feels a little odd lol
Right but with that it’s all actors too old playing characters the same age so it’s at least consistent
