Thought the performances were great. Not a huge fan of the ending, but I appreciate the craft of it.

 

idk i know it was a weird pivot but i had a shit eating grin on my face the entire last montage

 

Normally don’t care about “spoilers,” but maybe I should unsubscribe until I can see this next week, lol. Definitely feeling my excitement grow; expecting myself to love it.

 

the ending is what fully sold me on this tbh. I’m glad they committed.

 

FWIW it’s an adaptation with the same ending as the original

 

Jesse had big Steve Zahn energy in this

My screening last night was sold out. Small theater, but still. I liked it, but I think I found it way more bleak and upsetting than lots of people in the theater who were cracking up throughout. But tbf I was laughing pretty hard during the final five minutes.

 

I absolutely loved this, unsurprisingly. I'm just so happy Yorgos is out there doing his thing. Every film he makes is a real treat. Emma and Jesse are both treasures as well.

 

This was good. Easily the best of his that I’ve seen.

 

Really really great lead performances in this

 

Dinner table scene especially

 

Yeah the guy that played Don was very good.

 

His first role apparently

 

Agreed with the dinner scene. That scene where Emma Stone’s character is revealing everything to Jesse Plemons - fantastic acting. Plemons is really selling how his character is changing from wanting to kill her to being won over by what she’s telling him just through his eyes.

 

And his hair is so greasy

 

He looks like he stinks so bad.

My only complaint is i absolutely can not stand when violent suicide is depicted in film. Truly unnecessary.

 

kinds of kindness is a mixed bag. thought the first segment is among the best shit yorgos has done

 

The first section of Kinds of Kindness is his best American film.

 

I need to rewatch KoK. The only Yorgos that didn't really hit for me.
