Obviously it’s nowhere near the quality of what the show becomes and Xander is possibly at his very worst, but so much of season one is fun, at least for what it is! That said, The Pack is possibly my least favorite episode of the entire series. Will probably skip it during the next rewatch.

the dummy episode I unironically love lol, Nightmares is great too but Prophecy Girl feels like you're literally watching the show finally come together before your eyes. that's the first all-timer episode

Yeah, I agree Prophecy Girl is the first great episode and feels like things really kick off. Someone could probably just watch the first two episodes, the Angel one and Prophecy Girl to get the story, but then they'd be missing out on all the fun!

Angel... as much as it's important for the lore and everything is kind of a really bad episode lol. I truly hate that final fight with Darla, and Boreanaz improved a lot but his acting in s1 is godawful

think I'd actually say Witch is the best episode in that first half, really solid introduction to the monster of the weeks with a fun twist and it's cool how Amy continues to have a big effect down the entire show. also forgot to say it before but the Clea DuVall invisible girl ep rocks too

Had a friend tell me before that their least favourite season is 2 which shocked me haha. Although I do feel attached to the high school setting so those seasons are my faves.

Having just rewatched, I think season five is probably my all around favorite season front to back even if two is, for me, the most emotionally affecting. I don’t know, it’s pretty close, but definitely season five or two are in the top spot.

I have a few episodes left in season seven, but so far season seven is at the bottom alongside seasons one and six.

3 and 5 have always been my favourites and the ones I would call consistently great. love the fairytale vibe of 3 and it has one of the goated TV villains, but 5's high points are pretty hard to top

7 is... pretty bad, but Conversations with Dead People is a top-tier episode at least

    Conversations was amazing. And terrifying.

And yeah the mayor in season three is so good lol. I really love that season too.

I know Conversations with Dead People is the episode people talk about from season seven, but I just got to Lies My Parents Told Me and damn, that felt like an instant classic Buffy episode.

wow. he was not a good person but it's tough to see that so soon after Michelle passed. the cast of this show is too young to be dying
