been rewatching and I forgot how creepy this motherfucker is, almost feels like an early X-Files villain
Wonder who they’ll bring back. Alyson Hannigan, Emma Canfield, and Anthony Head still work enough and seem un-problematic enough that I feel like they’ll make appearances. Charisma Carpenter would be cool but would need some in-universe fixing. Boreanaz and Marsters feel unlikely (I hope they don’t appear for multiple reasons). Brendon feels like an obvious no.
Hulu has decided not to move forward with the Buffy series. The guess is they didn’t like the pilot enough to pick it up. This is sooo disappointing, I was really looking forward to this given that it’s one of my favorite shows of all time. Maybe the pilot just wasn’t that promising but who knows with these damn companies if it was even about the quality.
Noooooooooooooooo!!! What? Oh god I’m so disappointed. I thought this was locked and ready to go oh man. I can’t believe how sad this just made me.
Didn’t know there was a Buffy thread on here or I would’ve been bumping this left and right while I rewatched! I’m now halfway through season seven, which is actually the first time for me because I bailed after the sixth season when I first watched the show like ten years ago. I was curious about the reboot, and I definitely feel bad for the team behind it. That stinks.
The script has been privately floating around for a while. This is allegedly act one. Seems like an interesting take on a continuation, pretty bummed this was canned. https://www.reddit.com/r/BTVSRevival/s/FTAtxp4Z0l
a lot of people saying the pilot script was bad and its good the show got canned. I haven't read it because its hard to verify if any of the versions circulating are legit or not, but it's really funny to me to write the whole show off even if it was. like folks, the whole first half of original Buffy s1 was bad
I love S1 for the nostalgia factor after watching it as a kid, but it’s a tough sell sometimes when trying to get other people to watch the whole series. I still unironically like the Sid the dummy episode though. There are dozens of us!
