I’ve been really lucky to see almost all of my bucket list bands at ghis point. The only one I can think of off the top of my head right now is The Promise Ring.

I would have loved to see The Monkees when Davy was still alive, and I didn’t get a chance to see them as a group after because it was so sad to me. Now that Peter is dead I’m even more upset that I never got to go see the three or him solo.

I was suppose to go to Riot Fest the year The Cure played but something came up and I couldn't make it. And I should see The Pixies next month with Weezer.

    Trusted

    The Strokes (Likely)
    Oasis (Probably not)
    Libertines (Doubtful)

That said, I'm not the type to travel for a show, so I don't really care all that much haha.

Since I originally posted this, I’ve checked The Rolling Stones, Creed, David Gilmour, Hans Zimmer, and Jack White off my bucket list. Here are who I currently have left. along with everyone I have seen via Concert Archives.

Olivia Rodrigo - Have tickets for 6/7/25
Lady Gaga - Have tickets for 8/27/25
Oasis - Have tickets for 9/1/25

CURRENTLY ACTIVE (MOST TO LEAST REALISTIC)
Dua Lipa - Should not be difficult to get cheap resale tickets later this year.
The Beaches - Should not be difficult to get tickets for a probable tour promoting their new album later this year.
Julien Baker & TORRES - Hoping a show in the NYC area eventually pops up this year.
Hayley Williams - Had tickets in 2020, but you know what happened. Saw Hayley perform "Crystal Clear" during the latest Paramore tour so I guess it's debatable if she should be listed here, but she’s now openly talking about finally touring solo in 2025, and I'm looking to see a headlining set.
Lana Del Rey - Likely will require traveling since Lana hates NYC.
Bo Burnham - Bo hasn't toured since 2015 for many reasons and his career has changed wildly since then. However, I fully expect a return to the stage, which will do insane numbers.
No Doubt - Between Coachella 2024 and FireAid, it's only a matter of time before the desire for that sweet nostalgia tour money comes calling to Gwen.
Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross - Not looking for Nine Inch Nails, but the duo strictly performing their scores for film and television. This has yet to happen. Who knows if it ever will?
The Who - Age is the only reason they are at the bottom of the active list despite Reznor & Ross having yet to tour outside of NIN.

    PIPE DREAM (IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER)
    Better Oblivion Community Center
    Box Car Racer
Dewey Cox & The Hard Walkers
    Fleetwood Mac w/ Lindsey Buckingham
    The Horrible Crowes
    Nirvana
    Talking Heads
    The White Stripes

    Latest Edit: 4/4/25

For the longest time one of my answers to this question was Botch and I have a ticket to see them in October. I also saw Saetia last fall which always was a "they would be awesome to see but it will never happen."

The other band would be The Blood Brothers.

Wow, it’s wild how many of these I’ve seen since posting this. I guess this is the updated list (with bands I’ve seen removed. Also removed Marilyn Manson because, well, I don’t think I wanna see him anymore…)

    Slipknot
    Pearl Jam
    Queens Of The Stone Age
Alice In Chains (I have tix for them this fall)
    Guided By Voices
Liam Gallagher (I saw Noel in June)

I just scratched off The Smashing Pumpkins from my list last night. Hope you had a great experience with the OG lineup too since they were on your original list.

And yeah, totally understand about Manson after everything that has come out about him.

I did! I saw them last fall with Jane’s Addiction and it was amazing! They were tight, but I do think Jane’s blew them out of the water. One of the best live sets I’ve ever seen.

I wish I could’ve seen them on this current tour. STP was playing my date and SP’s setlist looked incredible, but I was already attending Beck that night so I couldn’t go. Oh well. Next time! Hope you had a blast!

That’s awesome! When I missed the tour you went to last year just due to an insane amount of shows in 2022, I regretted it. Funny when you go to see one and then the co-headliner blows that band away. I’ve been there before.

Was hoping for STP on my date since I’ve seen Interpol before, but SP more than made up for it. I did not expect Corgan to be so relaxed and his banter with James was great. Very tight setlist and they sounded better than I expected too.

But hey, Beck isn’t a bad substitute!

REM are my number 1 bucket list. I'm pretty sure I didn't get tickets for a show they played in Scotland as I was going to Fall Out Boy in London on the same night, which ended up being cancelled anyway. Something like that in 05/06.

Had been listening to RATM for about 22 years. They announced their first headline show in Scotland for the first time since the 90s here last year. Seemed too go to be true and of course it was cancelled and I doubt it'll ever be on the cards again.

I'm shocked Pity Sex reunited for that festival in California and haven't done anything yet.

I’ve crossed a few more off since this. Now my list is:

    System Of A Down
    Slipknot
    Queens Of The Stone Age
Guided By Voices (I actually could’ve seen them over the weekend, but I decided not to at the last minute and now I’m regretting it…)

Also, I got tickets for Oasis, so I’m removing Liam Gallagher from my list lol. What a weird sentence to write
