The opener Kidi Band is really interesting, not what I was expecting at all.

 

New song “Stories” performed tonight, might have been the debut of it honestly. Buck said after they played it that they are going to go record an album full of songs that sound like this new one. So my guess is another Buck solo record next year.

 

Nice! Been waiting to hear an update on those new songs he wrote during quarantine. I think they've played "Stories" every night on this tour but this is only the second recording. Thanks!

Here's a new song that was played several times on the latest Big Thief tour. They actually played it full band sometimes, not sure if they've ever backed his solo songs like that before

Buck is recording a new album after these August tour dates

 

Looks like they were getting setup at Sonic Ranch today. On the mini tour I believe they played 6 new new songs, so I’m guessing it’ll be an 11 song album if they include all 5 that have been played previously

 

Buck (with his band) is opening for all of Big Thief's US shows next spring. I'm thinking that means we'll at least have a new single by then but they only recorded 2 months ago so maybe that's too soon.
