based on this song it sounds like if big thief was from the 70s

 

Still pretty similar overall but def more country, more playful, really vivid lyrics, amazing song structures. Can’t recommend him enough!

 

Lyrics for the new track are unsurprisingly amazing. I believe this is mostly right

Yeah this is awesome, I had high expectations and it's way surpassing them.

I love the blue/hazel eye lyric on a couple songs, I wonder what's the story there

 

I thought this might be a bit too twangy for me at first, but it's really solid all around. Can't believe we got an Adrianne record last year, a James record last year, a Buck record this year, and probably (at least one) Big Thief record to come this year. This bands output is unreal, I love it. They really keep us fed.
