Taehyung has been off the hook for all these PTD shows, you can tell he is so energized by being on tour (and he goes some nice golf time in too, it seems!). It's really obvious that they all love performing, the smiles and reactions are just so wholesome! They have such a great time with each other but are also so engaging and interactive with ARMY, as someone who got into them during quarantine, it still blows my mind that all of this is possible. I'm so glad for them that they are getting to perform again.
It's a lovely song, such a wonderful vocal from Jimin, I love getting to hear his lower register! And it makes me laugh a little that he really has barely even acknowledged he even did this, like nothing before it came out, I think maybe a passing mention on the Vlive (when Taehyung bragged he had heard it already) and nothing since its release.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the only time Jimin ever mentioned it was on that vlive, because it was brought up by others, and the BTS account posted that one tweet. I don't even remember a Weverse announcement. They literally don't have to promote anything themselves, it's wild. Their "The City" concept is apparently being developed for more locations after Borahaegas too. I like the idea of a city experience, but I also don't have the money to do what they were offering and don't live in a city that would host something like that, so that's not promising news for my bank account.
Psy's new album is coming out on Friday and looks like Yoongi not only produced and co-wrote the title track, he's also getting a feature on it.
A ton of major airports are tweeting about BTS... tour dates incoming (such a creative way to announce a tour too, I love it)
I was about to leave for work and got bombarded with notifications from YouTube, Weverse, Twitter, etc this morning haha. All of the hints they've been dropping make sense now. And the fact that a bunch of them are planning to release solo stuff this year.
The trailer honestly made me tear up a little. Their discography is SO strong, and having it all laid out like that is just super cool! Excited to see what is in store with the anthology, if it's just releases of tracks as is or there is some reimagining involved (live mixes, features, remixes, etc.). Three new songs too, though! Excited, excited.
I'm curious too, because it's three discs and Taehyung posted a demo clip of Life Goes On to Insta this morning.
Namjoon's apparently been dropping hints/spoilers since the LA shows, sooo I wouldn't be surprised. I've been debating buying all of their previous albums, but they are so expensive and I honestly don't need any of the stuff it comes with, but once that preorder drops tonight I'm swiping so fast.
I actually did circle back and get one of each of the Korean releases (not looking to complete sets), so now that I have that collection going, it's a lot easier to get things as they are released as well! If you don't need the stuff inside, and especially if you aren't interested in the photo cards, you can probably find them for re-sale pretty cheap!
I think the point of me getting them would be to collect everything in them though (I don't listen to CDs), I just have tried so hard to not collect things I don't need anymore. I see pictures of people's collections sometimes and it's so overwhelming, I can't imagine having so much stuff in my house. I did preorder Proof though, so I feel like it might be a slippery slope of me picking up older ones
The kpop promotional schedule is a thing of beauty and organization. And the new single! HYYH era is back?!
Wasn't it Namjoon that was posting old HYYH stuff on IG and when people started speculating he was like nahhh that era's over? Hahah. I obviously missed out on all of the theories of past eras, so a lot still goes over my head or I have to look it up. This is just for the album schedule, too, right? There will be an additional festa schedule those same two weeks?
Yeah, this is the promotional schedule for Proof. Typically there is a schedule for Festa also, with various types of content leading up to the 13th, but since it's the same time frame, I can't even begin to imagine how they're gonna balance the two. Festa is usually more pics, merch, some vault stuff, a sitdown chat, perhaps a performance video and then maybe one original song (last year was RM's "Bicycle," for example) so it's a fair amount of similar types of content, but possibly very different vibes. I guess we will see! Namjoon is a spoiler king, he drops hints everywhere, it's kinda fun to go back and find them after info is released!
Pretty psyched about all of this. "Born Singer," the selection of fantastic title tracks, solo songs and subunits selected by the members, demos and unreleased songs, it's really quite the gold mine! And extra happy I pre-ordered, given that CD Only disc three!
Crazy that there's three discs of songs I'm super excited for and I'm still disappointed at how many were left out!
First three Proof of Inspiration videos. Looks like all of the photos are from Vegas and I see what looks like a desert music video location in Jimin's, so maybe they did get to shoot . They're posting them in reverse order of when the guys were first introduced as members too.
More HYYH hints hidden in these (waterpark location)? I finally dove in and watched a bunch of videos people made to explain the story, I didn't realize just how much content I still had not seen any part of yet. (I thought I was just getting into a kpop band, and now I'm invested in a alternate universe storyline spanning years??)
