Taehyung has a song coming out this week! I think midnight KST on Christmas Eve (it's a Christmas song, that will be featured on a Korean drama). Also, not sure if you are aware of BTS' SoundCloud, but there is a ton more music there that is not on Spotify, especially solo stuff from the members. Jungkook has a lot of covers and a few original songs, and Taehyung has quite a few songs there too (I recommend "4 O'Clock")! But yeah, hopefully they both have solo mixtapes coming soon, as they've been mentioned as in the works for quite awhile now.
I haven't listened on SoundCloud, but people have uploaded the playlists onto YouTube and I've listened to their songs that way. I really want the unreleased song Taehyung played in the Instagram story of him driving and singing along to. He seems really hard on himself with his writing and keeps delaying (I liked the one on one interview with Suga because he was so supportive and genuinely interested in Taehyung's solo work).
Really wondering if these Las Vegas shows in April (right around the Grammys, flex) mean more US dates are to come! Also, got a ticket to see the Seoul live-ish stream in the movie theater, because why not!
I reallyy feel like they've been hinting at new music / summer tour, so we decided not to spend all that money for the Vegas shows and save for better options (if this doesn't happen I may cry hahah). I love how everyone is calling the Grammys the opening act for the stadium shows because they're using the same arena for a literal stream viewing. I'm also doing the movie theater show haha. Wasn't excited about the $35 ticket, but apparently these days I can't say no to anything BTS.
They really have! I live in NYC, so I'm just hoping we are next, as they seem to be building these mini sitdowns around other business, and there's tons of promo opportunities here (and they weren't really able to do much of it when they were here on official business in September). We really aren't having a ton of screenings in this area for some reason but I was able to grab a ticket for one, so I'm excited to go!
Well, the Vegas shows sold out in five hours before even getting out of fan club presale. Good luck to anyone who wants to see them, the demand is massive. Really hoping they stick with this four shows in one city thing, even if it's multiple cities.
It's mind-blowing how massive they are, especially since they haven't really released much during the pandemic. I've started watching their YouTube channel from the beginning in 2012 (I have missed out on so much), and may have gotten a bit emotional yesterday after seeing how hard they worked, struggled, and wanted it so badly.
Have you started The Rise of Bangtan yet? It's a fantastic fan-made documentary series that's still in the works, but there's already over 20 half hour episodes. It's a great way to see some older content and catch up on their story! Also a fun way to see some of the gazillion music show performances that exist and are impossible to keep up with.
No, I haven't, there's soo much it's overwhelming. I got 98(?) episodes into Run BTS and then took a break to watch In The Soop (which is my new favorite thing in the world, I should have started with this). I'm also about a year into the YouTube videos. When I say I've gone down the rabbit hole, I mean it
In the Soop (first season) was one of the first things I watched and it is what really sold me. It was a fantastic way to get a sense of the members and their personalities and dynamic! And much more my vibe than Run, which I like in small doses but can be a little too chaotic for me at times. Bon Voyage is a fun mix of both, if you haven't gotten to that yet (I recommend seasons 3 and 4!). There really is a ton of stuff, though, I'm 18 months in and there is stuff I still have never gotten to.
Bon Voyage is next on my list. I throw in random interviews, promo videos, and vlives that get suggested to me too. I don't even need to watch TV anymore, just find some BTS content.
I've only been fully invested for ~7 months, but I already feel traumatized by "Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC..." notifications

I was watching the livestream for LV and my sister and I were speculating on if they were going to do an announcement at the end, and we still absolutely lost it when it happened haha. There have been so many hints dropped in their vlives/during the show, the teaser video theme makes total sense if you've picked up on those things. I saw some people saying they may have filmed a mv in LV too.
They had a lot of people from their team out in LV with them for the week between shows, though one of Jimin or Hobi said that because of the winds, they weren't able to shoot something they planned to in their Vlive. Now there is word that all but Namjoon are on their way back to SK, which makes me super curious what he's hanging back for. It's possible his mixtape might be closer to release than we thought! It also sounds like they'll be back for the BBMAs, and since they already performed "Butter" there last year, debuting a new song would be super cool! So maybe a pre-release single?
I haven't watched the most recent vlive with subs yet, so I've only heard parts that were clipped all over social media and I don't think the part about the wind was clipped. Bummer if they couldn't get the shots they wanted. Namjoon said he was working with a bunch of people on his mixtape, so that's what I assumed he was staying for as well. I'm obviously excited for the new music, but what I reallly want is a tour announcement! I've mentally prepared myself to throw all my money at that.
Yeah, it sounds like Namjoon's mixtape is gonna be pretty epic, I can't wait! I am hoping for a tour announcement soon too, as I'm essentially waiting to plan the rest of my summer around it, lol. My guess is they might be waiting for a few more details regarding enlistment before announcing that, which I believe they are supposed to be getting by the end of this month. Hopefully we get dates before the album release though!
Same. And the stuff I have already planned/bought tickets for, are getting dumped if it conflicts with BTS, I don't even care haha. I love that the guys look like they're having just as much, if not more, fun than the crowd at their shows. Taehyung especially seemed to be living his best life up there, it's so endearing.
