Exactly. The number one single and the stadium tour breaking Ticketmaster records has been enough promotion. I’m surprised he didn’t try and go the 10 vinyl variant route.
Its pretty much all of his big features with the exception of "Fat Juicy & Wet", "Lighters", "Young, Wild, & Free", and "Bubble Butt". Then oddly two Silk Sonic cuts. 1. "Nothin' on You" 2. "Billionare" 3. "Mirror" 4. "Uptown Funk" 5. "Finesse (Remix)" 6. "Wake Up in the Sky" 7. "Please Me" 8. "Leave the Door Open (Live)" 9. "Smokin out the Window" 10. "Die with a Smile" 11. "APT." I get Silk Sonic is a "collaboration" but comes off to me as he couldn't get the other songs cleared to be on this and just used those two to make it long enough for an LP.
I'm going to one of the listening parties at a local record store tomorrow night - stoked to hear this in full.
This is expected to debut at #1 with 175k equivalent units. 175k is nothing to scoff at, but I was honestly expecting it to be a much higher number. Especially considering the tour and lead single's success.
this passed right through me to no impact... i will let the next 5-10 years of weddings i play dictate which songs from this album i need to care about.
