I feel like the promo cycle this time has been weirdly lowkey

 

He's going with the Taylor Swift method, too big to fail so why even promote

 

Exactly. The number one single and the stadium tour breaking Ticketmaster records has been enough promotion.

I’m surprised he didn’t try and go the 10 vinyl variant route.

 

Its pretty much all of his big features with the exception of "Fat Juicy & Wet", "Lighters", "Young, Wild, & Free", and "Bubble Butt". Then oddly two Silk Sonic cuts.

Incredibly weird release, haha.

 

I'm going to one of the listening parties at a local record store tomorrow night - stoked to hear this in full.

 

I'm two songs in and this is NOT what I expected but good lord he did it again, so good

 

I don't know how he does it, this whole album is fantastic

 

Yeah this was a lot better than I expected, pleasant surprise for sure

 

Wild he went from a new jack swing album to straight-up ‘70s R&B LP.

 

This wasn't what I was expecting after I Just Might. But I'm enjoying this.

 

I did not like this very much

 

I dig it! Pretty classic-sounding soul and R&B. Something I can throw on that my mom will like.

 

I really expected to like this more.

 

This is expected to debut at #1 with 175k equivalent units.

175k is nothing to scoff at, but I was honestly expecting it to be a much higher number. Especially considering the tour and lead single's success.

 

this passed right through me to no impact...

i will let the next 5-10 years of weddings i play dictate which songs from this album i need to care about.
