Originally he said he was only gonna release one single because he wanted the album to be experienced first as a whole... now he said he changed his mind lol.
I am SO pumped for this. Tapping in to Morris Day and Kool and the Gang is the way to my heart. Honestly, him really settling on a band made all the difference, it seems.
Kinda surprising, it's only 9 tracks long 24K Magic Chunky Perm That’s What I Like Versace on the Floor Straight Up & Down Calling All My Lovelies Finesse Too Good to Say Goodbye
Hoping this means some extended Kool-esque funk jams. His band is REAL good, so letting them vamp would be awesome.
About to listen to this, listening to his first two albums before in order to really get a sense of the progression. Doo-Wops & Hooligans has a lot of mushy filler tracks, but Unorthodox Jukebox still bumps.
AOTY for me unless The Weeknd comes along and changes that. Finesse and That's What I Like are wild. I feel like it benefits from only being 9 songs, makes me like it more for some reason.
