@DaydreamNation completely agree about 'House of 1,000 Guitars' - just, falls flat for me. The way he sings "house of a thousand guitars' and kind of rushes through it doesn't work for me lol
I was very much hoping for a little more behind the scenes footage of the recording process, this is very much just like a sequel to 'Western Stars', it's done the exact same way. Still a great watch.
Wow this is best shit in decades and might be his best album since Tunnel of Love.... this is probably my AOTY
A 7.5 for a 2020 springsteen album might be the best possible score it could get so i am hyped to hear the songs i havent already heard lol
Kind of surprised that some of the reviews I've read (particularly the Pitchfork one and Hyden's writeup) take the "The band/sound is fantastic, but the songs are just pretty good" stance. I really think most of these songs are top-notch.
I needed this album right now. I really did. I hope he opens the first concerts when the world exists again with “Ghosts”
where do we draw the line at albums that at this point are untouchable by him, like he will never make an album as good as _________ ? Because i feel like it's unfair to be like well it's a good album but it's not his best, like sure its not as good as BTR whats wrong with you - but like, if we draw that line say after Tunnel - this might rival Rising for the best thing he's put out since then, as @j0nnymarrzbar previously stated.
See we're gonna devolve into disputes still haha because I'd put Magic above The Rising more often than not
