catching up on last season "heynongman" made me so happy

 

It kind of crossed my mind that they might be overdoing the Holt getting exciting/shouting thing to the point where it's not special/out of character anymore, but then I realized I've still laughed literally every single time so whatever

 

Looking back I'm glad they haven't dragged out the Boyle crushing on Rosa plot line

 

Oh yeah, that was totally a thing for a bit. Completely forgot

 

They're much better as friends

 

I actually do think it's a problem now. I mean, I still laugh, but it's expected now. Much better when it wasn't.

Still loving this season though. It's the best it's been in a while. They're getting better at weirder and more obscure references and whatnot.

 

I see it as the precinct breaking Holt out of his shell and now feels more comfortable in expressing himself. The outbursts of excitement is definitely played for laughs. But I sort of see it like how on The Office Kelly Kapoor was more soft-spoken and conservatively dressed in the first season.

 

I agree. Holt's excitement isn't out of character... his character has just developed.

 

Regardless of the reason or whatever, I preferred him before.

 

Bullets Over Broadway was on TV and I came down with a big ‘ol Diane Wiest infection

 

oh man this show is just not slowing down.

 

CJ's undercover persona was basically Prison Mike lol

 

Baba Booey, Cornholio

Ken Marino is the best.

 

This one was really good

 

I love Ken Marino

 

Cold open had me in stitches. Jake's staring face and finally... "because YEAST"

 

Also Jake casually calling Holt "dad" after Holt calls him "son"

 

And last week Amy called him Captain Dad

 

"Not to brag but my kindergarten teacher name checked me in her suicide note."


Gina continues to be the best.

 

"I know how to kiss, I read a book"

 

This show is seriously good. It's one of my all time favorites at this point.

 

I loved Jake asking everyone if his shirt was offensive
