Anyone else notice that this episode the dialogue was super rapid with basically no breaks between lines? It’s like they refused to let the jokes breathe.
I sure hope NBC isn't doing that thing that cable networks do where they run the show at like 1.25x speed so they can fit in more ads. (I watched an episode of That 70's Show on Comedy Central recently which was so spun up that it sounded like the characters were on helium.)
It didn’t seem sped up but that the editors/actors didn’t allow but 0.25 seconds before the end of one line and the beginning of the next. Very weird direction.
Exclusive: NBCUniversal is slashing even more TV ads Nah NBC slashed amount of commercials in the past few years.
Well, if anything, that's good. I know that shows which had been run for 22 minutes for forever were getting closer to 20 in recent years.
“I’m such a terrible judge of character. I was wrong about Rosa. I missed all the signs with my cousin Jared...”
they had to have dropped the line about her twin sister in the premiere so Bayer can come back later in the season right? kind of an anti-climactic end of her character if not
how the fuck has Amy never heard of IVF haha I know it's super expensive but like fertility doctors exist wait Jake is the one with this idea, Amy is always the one who plans haha
"Think of it this way: it's like doing reps at a gym. Doing something over and over is how you make your pecs pop." "The only muscle I care to work out is my brain." "Then get your reps in and make your brain pop." "What you're describing is an aneurysm." Might be one of my favourite bits of dialogue like, just, ever.
this was my favourite episode in a long time, probably since The Crime Scene actually. everything was great. and those last few minutes - damn glad this show hasn't lost its touch for a bit of real emotion
Yeah really like how this one was more grounded in reality for the most part, and definitely interesting that it didn't end with a positive test like most people were probably expecting, especially since imo Melissa is already noticeably pregnant
Yeah I was very surprised it was negative at the end there. The police uniform definitely helps mask it more than just holding a big bag in front of her though lol so it isnt really distracting this time around for me
Holy shit tonight's episode was funny. I think I laughed at literally every line in the Holt/Wunch RIP story, and while Jake's story was pretty basic the ending was great, plus the very end of the episode took me by surprise
When Terry and Charles were boxing and Jake was saying it's ridiculous that they're fighting this hard over a movie, I feel like it was pretty fucked up of them to say "YOU DON'T HAVE KIDS" when him and Amy have been struggling to for months now lol.
Now they can stop hiding Amy behind sponges (really, sponges this episode?) Would love to see scenes at the movie premier.
Rosa's laugh at Holt's "gates of heaven" joke was the funniest moment this season by a longshot. so good
I loved when Holt said something like "you've been doing great work all day Rosa" about her jokes lol
