This has finally made me stop being an asshole and watch this show (which I know I will love). Where can I stream it?
Fuck Fox. I’m happy with one last season but kinda hope it goes like 5 more and is super successful for nbc.
Yeah I love how everyone online is treating NBC like a hero here when they’re just going to cancel it themselves this time next year when nobody watches it again lol. I was disappointed NBC took it because with Hulu there would’ve been a chance for more than one more season.
I mean people who watch it will still watch it, but it’s not going to magically change people’s viewing habits. I mainly watch next day on Hulu and that’s not likely to change.
“Brooklyn is a show our company produces for Fox, so it’s a show that’s very close to us,” said NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt. “I’ve been saying to certain people in the press that if we knew Andy Samberg was going to be cast in that show, we never would have sold it to Fox. We’ve been watching it closely ever since. … We jumped on it really quickly and are thrilled to have it and think it fits into our brand of comedy in many ways better than it fit into Fox’s brand of comedy. It feels like it goes along shows like A.P. Bio, Will & Grace, Superstore, and The Good Place. … It’s also one of the few comedies in recent years that does a robust international number, and it has a syndication upside, which a lot of shows don’t have anymore.” http://ew.com/tv/2018/05/13/nbc-brooklyn-nine-nine/
Just started this after cancellation and feel like a dork for not watching earlier. I’d rather watch on Hulu / NBC next day, but if it means getting more of it I’ll gladly watch an hour of this and the good place live on NBC
True, but NBCUniversal produces the show and makes $$ from Hulu views. Sometimes even if a show does poorly on network and it has a good syndication deal like it does on TBS, then they might just eat poor ratings. See Scrubs for example. Last two seasons were due to the fact that abc tv produced it and had a good syndication deal, yet ratings were poor.
Bob Greenblatt: ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Better Fit On NBC Than Fox When the series finally “came to a place where [Fox] could not keep it on” NBC “jumped on it really quickly,” Greenblatt said. So, while applauding those fans who took to Twitter to “yell and scream” when Fox scrubbed it, he said it did not inspire NBC to pick it up because “we were already there,” working on a deal to move it to NBC.
