It was actually renewed for a fourth season back in February. ‘Superstore’ Renewed for Season 4 at NBC
I was just making a joke, I just checked and it actually was renewed back in February, so at least there’s that. Of course it wouldn’t put it past NBC to see all the FOX cancellations today and go “Shit, they must be on to something. All good comedies must go!”
With this and New Girl ending, that just leaves The Good Place and Fresh Off The Boat for me Also Champions and Alex Inc. this season
I don't think I watch anything on NBC right now. Need to get back into Good Place and check out Superstore. Interested in Good Girls because that cast is awesome
Imagine B99 is saved by CBS and retooled into an actual police prodecural. Or even worse, a Chuck Lorre sitcom.
Fully expect Alex Inc to not make it. Which is a shame. Zach Braff deserves to be the voiceover of every tv characters inner thoughts.
yeah I haven't heard much talk about it, I'm afraid of it and Champions getting cancelled. I've also been worried about FOTB getting cancelled for a couple seasons now, I have no idea how these shows do in ratings
Ratings for Brooklyn Nine-Nine were garbage. Fox can't keep a show on the air that pulls only 1.6 million viewers per episode. That's seriously how many people watched last week's show. If everyone who cried about it being canceled actually watched the show, it would still be on the air. I like the show, but it was a smart business move. Bob's Burgers and The Simpsons almost pull the same kind of numbers, but they bring in millions of dollars for Fox in terms of merch and such. It would be foolish to get rid of those shows. ABC canceled Last Man Standing last year because of money issues. That show had amazing numbers for a Friday night (around 6 million viewers an episode).
Well maybe if they started selling Jake and Amy tote bags, Terry tanktops, and Boyle Berry cereal, they would be raking in the moolah
I think Netflix and Hulu simply go by how many people are watching a specific show. Several shows got cut because they didn't reach quota.
I think if you DVR an episode, watching it within 3 days of when it aired almost counts as a live view (anyone can correct me).
You have to have a Nielsen box or whatever for your views to count I believe so yeah ratings don’t matter https://jalopnik.com/how-tv-ratings-work-1795820157
If you watch on a DVR, it gets counted in the ratings regardless of whether you have a Nielsen box or not, but streaming is not taken into account at all in the ratings, partially because most streaming services outright refuse to provide the number of views their shows get and also because ratings are primarily used to determine how much the network can charge for commercials that air during the show, so most streaming services are irrelevant in that regard.
