Would have been shocked if it wasn't renewed but nice to have confirmation I wonder what's taking them so long on New Girl
Huh. Just realized there were two episodes last week. Watched the second one but totally missed Cop-Con.
Damn, really strong ending to the season. Definitely expected them to get away with it, really didn't see them continuing this into next season coming. Jake and Rosa in prison could potentially be really funny, even though we've kind of seen something similar with Amy undercover in prison a few years ago I think this may have been the strongest season since the first. Also Mantzoukas' character has basically become Rafi
This season was absolute fire. Really wish they resolved everything, but I'm sure some hilarious moments will come out of their prison time
Honestly, I want Jake and Rose to be in jail all season. The show needs a serious shake up and while this season was one of the better ones, it still suffered from "nothing really happened until the last few episodes of the season" syndrome. The entire crew being on the case all year, and watching Jake and Rosa's antics could be really good for the show. That said, I thought the final few episodes were great.
Wow every episode after the break has been like series best quality. Can't wait to see what they do next season.
I absolutely lost it so many times during the past few episodes.. man Jake gliding in to Enya may be one of my favourite scenes ever of this show. Plus his "cool cool coolcool cool...." at the end of the finale reminded me so much of the cool beans bit in Hot Rod lol
I'm catching up from falling behind this season. Was really surprised by how heavy of an episode Moo Moo was at points. I never expected that kind of mood with this show.
I'm not even sure if there have been bad episodes. Sure, some aren't as funny as others, but it's been one of the most consistent comedies I've ever watched and it hit the ground running with the pilot. I just convinced myself to start a rewatch of it all.
Everything about Charles dying his hair and pubes absolutely stole the episode for me. Gotta say though, I don't really care at all when they try to tell these kind of stories. I think the show takes itself too seriously in the kinds of episodes and it hasn't ever succeeded for me as far as I remember because, as someone else kind of pointed out, this show just sticks in its same routine and rhythm every season and never really shakes anything up for more than a few episodes. It's fun hanging out with these characters every week and I'm glad that it got renewed for a fifth season because the jokes are definitely still there, but I never find myself looking forward to this show anymore like I did in its first two seasons. I don't know if anyone else in here feels the same way I do. I think this show is good and always shows hints of greatness, but never seems to achieve that greatness save for a handful of episodes sprinkled throughout each season. Just some thoughts while I'm sick and bored haha
