If not, it's on YouTube/pinned on their Reddit. Been listening to a lot of these guys over the past could of days, but honestly, I have gona back to the Saturation stuff much. Feels like a completely different era (which I guess it was). I love iridescence, but I think GINGER might give it a run for its money as their most well-rounded albums. "If You Pray Right" aside, "St. Percy" and "I Been Born Again" are such underrated bangers. Love "Victor Roberts" closing the project, too.
Big Boy and Dearly Departed are the only two I don’t return to on that album as much, but they’re both solid
The mics are so quiet and the audience is so loud on the stream haha edit: seems like they might have fixed it halfway into GOLD
Both albums have a few interesting tracks lyrically but neither of these records are doing much for me sadly.. at least it’s not just only Kevin on all the tracks? Anyways, Roadrunner is much better than both of these records combined IMO.
fuck it we added all american trash but here’s the ranking so far 1. iridescence 2. saturation 2 3. saturation 3 4. saturation 5. all american trash
Saturation III > Roadrunner > iridescence > Saturation II > Saturation > Ginger > The Family > TM > IMO
let’s finish it besides TM 1. Iridescence 2. Saturation 2 3. The Family 4. Roadrunner 5. Saturation 3 6. Ginger 7. Saturation 8. All American Trash
nevermind I finished TM and that was something but now the definitive cobra rankings: 1. Iridescence 2. Saturation 2 3. The Family 4. Roadrunner 5. Saturation 3 6. Ginger 7. Saturation 8. TM 9. All American Trash
Fuck I really want to make some time to watch that final show, that sounds like great closure Hope it doesn't get taken down before I get the chance
Prefer these two albums to the last one. Roadrunner had too many features and felt slightly messy and all-over-the-place. These two albums are the opposite- really coherent and fun to listen to.
Iridescence Saturation III Saturation Saturation II Roadrunner The Family Ginger TM Finally got to listen to them both and I like The Family a fair bit, cool sound and interesting exploration of his feelings on the band as a whole. TM did very little for me though, doubt I'll return to it, feels like an album they were already checked out on.
I do recommend revisiting TM if it didn't quite do it for you at first, I also felt (ironically) that it sounded more like an obligation than The Family did, but it's grown on me with each listen
Also shuffling their discography this morning and I have no idea why anyone ever thought Ameer was their most talented member when Dom (or literally any other member) is right there not doing the same flow on every song
