Worked and toured with Kevin during the American Boyfriend days. Released his first album in 2017, a 3-song EP in 2019, and then nothing until now.
He's written with them a good amount in the past as well. "Man on the Moon" from Brockhampton's TM and "The Greys" from Kevin Abstracts recent solo album.
So uhh the Roy Blair album is incredible, and some of y'all need to come join the discussion in the currently sadly neglected thread for it--Roy Blair - Chasing Moving Trains (November 1, 2024) • forum.chorus.fm Nice BH/Kevin shout-out on "Amberwood."
Yup it’s out there apparently it’s the original planned last album they scrapped. Some of the songs made TM but everything’s different
they changed some of these songs for the better on TM but on the whole the leaked one is a better album. would've been a decent way to go out but I still draw a line at Roadrunner ...just saw there's another leaked album lol, this one from between Ginger and Technical Difficulties but I'm too sleepy to listen to that tonight
this second one is pretty good, definitely more of the Ginger feeling. In Da Woods is one of their best pop songs until Merlyn ruins it lol
I've actually been going through their entire catalogue again over the past week or so and it's actually insane how WELL I think their stuff has held up for me, it's all hitting hard again I'm including a lot of the leaks that I haven't actually heard before (Puppy, Technical Difficulties, Ultraviolet, Beverly Daze by Kevin) and it's made it feel like a new experience too. I think these guys will always mean a lot to me and represent a certain period of my life
