feels like they've been doing everything possible to completely kill my enthusiasm since RR. I might peace out, certainly will if Ameer is actually back yikes

I'm gonna see them out but I definitely have a weird feeling about this one.

 

I think the better half of their last album was among their best material, so if they somehow can get a whole album of that consistency.... I'd be happy

 

Haha ok well I'm still excited and my sister's Christmas present just figured itself out.

It's 17 tracks in 35 minutes, so who knows what we're in for lol

That's a lot of tracks for such a short run time. Average 2 minutes each, wonder if some are skits

I still occasionally buy CDs from thrift shops, but yeah idk who is out here paying full price for new CDs. (nothing wrong with the format itself, mind you)

 

Is there any confirmation that Ameer is back in the group?

Someone on the Reddit found some new songs registered in the ISCR (sp?) and the track Brockhampton apparently features him

there are sometimes mistakes in that database but it's likely accurate

 

I think if they sample anything from Saturation trilogy, they would need to credit him, and it's not a wild thought that they might sample an early song in the last track they ever release

 

I was thinking about that too, seems plausible but I couldn't imagine what song/part they would sample. Not sure if they'd need to directly sample his vocals or just a song that he was credited on.

 

hes credited on Honey for the Bump sample, so it can be any part really

 

They tried bringing Ameer back into the fold earlier this year but scrapped it after tensions rose within the band. They were going to actually put out PUPPY as well but it all fell apart. Shortly after that was the cancellation of the rest of their tour dates. I'm not surprised he's on the last track.

 

I’m here for whatever they choose to release. I dug Roadrunner more than Ginger and probably even iridescence (even though I do like that record quite a bit) so if this last record is on par then fantastic.
