I think my three favorites after a few listens are Queer, Tokyo and Junky. I just really love how fast and erratic Queer gets.(if that makes sense?) I would love to see them delve more into that style. I do like how Ameer got more personal on this record. It was nice. I do also like that it felt like JOBA and Merlyn got more usage on this one. I seriously love JOBA part on Junky. I also just really love Bearface's parts in the songs he was on. Jesus was so nice because of that and also Summer is great.
I need to spend more time with Kevin's solo stuff, but I'm not at all mad about BH continuing to do stuff together.
Kevin's album was so lonely and depressed, glad he found a group of people he enjoys spending time and creating with
Adore Kevs solo album. Such a great, interesting and weird album. I think that's what made Saturnation such a step up, it takes way more risks than their earlier stuff.
You guys know Kevin has two solo albums right? One before Brockhampton and one during but before Saturation. Two very different sounds but I love both
this is all i've been listening to since friday. i think prefer saturation slightly to saturation II but it's ridiculous how good both albums are for being released so close together and so early in their career. bring on saturation III
Just because the connection is well-observed doesn't mean it's false. Seems silly to deny an influence that is obviously there
I think there's a middle ground. I'd say they're undeniably influenced by OF but OF doesn't need to be brought up every single time this band slides into conversation.
Yeah there are definitely a ton of extremely valid comparisons to OF but musically I'd say the only song that really sounds a lot like them is HEAT, among a few others
Seeing them tomorrow night in a really tiny venue and I'm super excited. Don't really know what to expect but I'm excited to see them on their first tour
