Tbh I don’t know what their tour manager is thinking because a lot of the venues on the Love Your Parents tour were way too small imo. They’re selling out almost every show and that’s great but some of these venues (I’m thinking of Boston specifically) probably shouldn’t ever be at max cap given how cramped it gets, especially with the pits at every show Relevant:
The london venue is the same. It's "1500 capacity" but when it's sold out it's so packed that loads of people get stuck at the back near the bar unable to see.
I got a ticket for the first KOKO date, had three ticket sites open and noticed it went on sale on Gigantic about a minute early which probably didn't help. Managed to get two through Ticketweb, and never try Ticketmaster as they're always super sketchy and awful at actually getting high-demand tickets on sale. But yeah, been there dozens of times and it'll be super packed at the bottom to the extent where you'll either be uncomfortable near the front or pushed right to the back. Is good sound/view wise if you manage to get a good standing place in the upper tiers, but otherwise way too small for a band this popular, which is a shame. Reckon (despite its awful demographic if you're over the age of 18) the Reading and Leeds festival slots will be decent though.
Is a better venue but its capacity is barely bigger, if at all (and i’m still bitter about the Radiohead gigs there)
Ah fair, know they have two standing levels as have been caught out on that before...think they’d go significantly bigger if they upgraded though, just hopefully not brixton as it’s the worst lol
Bad sound and awful standing layout with that random bar in the middle iirc, has been a few years though so might have improved. Shepherd’s Bush Empire by far the best imo
I fimd the sound to be far worse at 02 Forum than Brixton. I'd go as far saying it's the worst sounding venue I've been to. Sheperd's Bush is only 500 bigger than Koko
If Koko didn't oversell tickets and cram way too many people in it'd be a lot smaller in terms of official capacity. All about the £££
if this is a new album, it's going to be the most BROCKHAMPTON Brockhampton album of all time lol edit: nvm, looks like it's just new merch, but it's perfect
I’m really into the willy willy shirt Merlyn has on in the corner, but I’ve heard not great things about their merch in terms of shipping and customer service
