listened to II and that was really good, still need to listen to I properly but excited to listen to III

 

After listening to III a few times through I think it's easily the best

 

On first listen, I don’t think I’m going to like III as much as II, but both are good

 

knee-jerk reaction is that i think it's their best but gotta listen to it a lot more before i actually decide

 

There’s nothing more fun to sing than Joba’s “Tokyo” verse. NOTHING

 

Joba's verses kind've annoy me tbh.

 

Joba is very hit or miss for me.

 

He's fine on a hook and seems to craft a decent melody (although Abhi/Dijon and Bearface are much, much better at that) but the verses with the high pitched helium ass voice are very annoying.

 

what is abji/dijon's connection to brockhampton?

 

Dijon is on SUMMER from II, I believe they helped write some other melodies along the way

 

I really liked joba’s verse on Johnny I think?

I’m just honestly in love with that beat so much

Brockhampton production is my favorite thing

 

This was pretty immediate for me. More so than the other two. Boogie reminds me of a beat that would be on Atrocity Exhibition.

 

seeing mac Miller, jaden Smith and Anderson paak give brockhampton love was dope on twitter/instagram.

 

He’s like the only person I’ve personally heard use it where it totally works for me but I get where you’re coming from. In concept, real annoying

 

This is really dope but at this point I would prefer another Kevin solo album, i love American Boyfriend.

 

Have to be honest that I never heard of this collective until today’s Pitchfork review but I listened to the album and it blew me away. I’ve been sleeping. Can’t wait to delve into Saturation 1 and 2.

Do any of them other than Kevin have solo albums/mixtapes?

 

Wasn't really a huge fan of Joba or some of Merlyns parts before this but feel like they both stepped it up on here, Matt was a lot more consistent too. Loving all of this at the moment

 

I really just wanna see what a bearface solo album sounds like.

 

This is my favorite of the 3, some very good stuff. Sister is absolutely insane.

 

A big part of why I think III is instantly my favourite is that the members that I didn't like much on the last two albums, have improved a lot on this one.

 

This is hitting me pretty immediately. I think Sat 1 and 2 are more frontloaded and this is just very consistent.
