Merlyn fucked up BANKROLL so hard haha. I don't really know what else to say about it, Kevin seemed fairly relieved to be done. Kinda shocked they didn't mention the supposed "album" that is coming out?

Also Kevin dropping out halfway through Ameer's BOOGIE verse and saying "this verse sucks so much" made me laugh.

 

Guaranteed Kevin is gonna reunite BH at some point, like not a slight against any of them but BH is one of those groups I feel like is worth more as a whole versus the sum of its parts. None of them really stand out as potential successful solo artists, I remember Kevin had his solo album come out out and promptly forgot about it. Hell, Ameer even couldn’t get his solo stuff off the ground despite being a significant element of the Saturation trilogy.

 

Also, I kinda wonder if BH would’ve had more success without having as much drama and issues as a collective, like the biggest enemy that group had was themselves and how things went down after Saturation kinda proved it when that hype from that trilogy cooled off.

 

I like Kevin solo more than BH

Yeah I saw that on a YT video and I was like damn I like that verse (personal feelings of Ameer aside) and damn this whole last performance feels borderline phoned in.

Kevin's solo stuff is great. American Boyfriend is probably the best album in this whole extended canon, and Arizona Baby has some absolute bops even if it doesn't hang together that well. "Peach" might be one of their best songs

 

Arizona Baby is probably Kevin's weakest solo effort but his pre-BH stuff is great

The Brockhampton subreddit has in the past speculated that one reason why the band ended was because in private, several members did not agree with what happened with Ameer and wanted to bring him back some time after he left but Kevin and others didn’t and it created a rift that couldn’t be healed within the group. It is worth noting that several members follow Ameer on the socials and he follows them so there’s possible truth in that.

 

Yeah, I assumed that from the socials alone.
