Honestly Count on Me is still my favorite. I did not understand the mixed reviews at ALL. Count On Me Don’t Shoot Up the Party The Light Pt. II Old News Buzzcut Chain On Bankroll The Light Windows I’ll Take You On When I Ball What’s the Occasion Dear Lord
I'm sorry but the TD version just absolutely murks it, I just get bored halfway through the RR version with the beat just looping still better than the absolute nonsense they made out of "Bankroll" lol
This album is amazing, I get why people are quick to compare this to their past stuff or wish some of the members were more prominently featured on here but taking it in as it’s own piece of art, it’s dark, chaotic, fun, and has a little bit of what I love about them sprinkled throughout
The Joba verse on The Light II is very clearly the centerpiece of this album. As a whole, there's a decent amount to like on here and also a decent amount that sounds like a retread of the stuff they've been doing since SAT1. I'll run it back and see how I feel on a second listen
Kevin retweeted the Pitchfork review and reading it, it just feels like the most backhanded compliment of a review lol. Like basically "The band used to be all over the place and scattered, stuffing too much and then in 2019 Sugar got them their biggest hit! Ohhhhh big numbers, they really should have been focusing on that!!!"
Honestly, after their Iridescense review, I couldn't be less interested in P4k's opinion on Brockhampton
At least we don't have to read another review where they talk about about how Ameer was their best rapper.
Haha I do like the shirt and I'm honestly very excited for the CD. My car is so old I have to use an FM transmitter, so to finally hear "Dear Lord" without all the static is going to be great.
