I think GINGER is my favorite BROCKHAMPTON album at this point, which I realize is not popular opinion

It’s my second favorite behind Iridescence. I guess my unpopular opinion is everything they’ve done after the Sat Trilogy is better.

I think Saturation might have had a few single songs that were better than some single songs off the last two albums, but when you talk about "albums" as a whole, it's no contest that Ginger and Iridescence are the better albums

    The correct answer.

I love all of their albums but Ginger and Iridiscence don't have the same replay value as the Saturation series to me. You can just tell they had the wind taken out of their sails after the whole Ameer thing and they were emotionally depleted. They're still immensely talented and they made great music in spite of it, but it didn't feel like they were working as well as a collective as they did when they were hungry and ambitious, before the media attention, before the fan backlash. I think that the time off after Ginger may have been necessary to revitalize them. They're still contracted for four more albums with RCA so I'm excited to see what comes next.

I think Iridiscence is their best work.

Head and shoulders above everything else they’ve done in my opinion

Does Ginger get weird? I burned out on them after the Trilogy and every song doing the same shit, but then Iridescence had some solid, weird tracks on it. Def the best release that I've heard from them

Ginger does not get weird but it is very cohesive

I liked Ginger a lot when it was released but haven’t really gone back to it

I'm spinning it now, on "If You Pray Right". Not bad, I also haven't listened to them in a while so I'm not as burnt out on them as I was. Still have the same overall criticisms, switch up the structure of songs, leave people off tracks, get weird and poppy and you have yourself a solid record.

Depends on how you define weird, but it definitely goes in musical directions you wouldn't expect
