Oh man. I hope they aren't abandoning The Best Years of Our Lives just because Iridescence was polarizing

 

Same. It’s a shame because I want iridescence 2 more than anything

 

I kind of doubt it would be related to any kind of critical reception because it was intended to be a weird record from the get-go, but who knows. I'm sure whatever it is will be great. Just hate feeling like this cycle is incomplete haha

 

yeah I really want them to finish that trilogy smh

just release two of the full albums they have sitting in their vaults and call it a day I don't care

 

Kevin's said multiple times that he wants to release a ton of music in 2019 so I wouldn't be surprised if we got the last two albums in the trilogy along with his solo album

Iridescence might have been polarizing, but it's been their most successful album so far, yes? It hit #1 the week it came out.

 

yeah pretty sure all their albums have been crazy more successful than the one before, but in fairness iridescence is the first one they released with major label backing and all that

Rapper signs to major label -> starts hating the pressure is a common story at this point, unfortunately. Brockhampton's deal was pretty great (I think they got full creative license + 15mil for promotion and such) but it was predicated on them continuing to pump out three albums a year. That's a lot for any band, and this band had to restructure their creative process entirely after the Ameer drama. It's a shame but he'll be alright
