An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

for those on the fence I'll just say don't go in expecting instant HEAT/GUMMY/JUNKY style bangers because there really aren't any. this is a very weird, indulgent, discursive album that keeps you guessing constantly while nailing the track to track flow completely, and I think it's the most cohesive they've ever sounded as a unit

I dunno I'm 5 tracks in and there's been a few bangers already for me

Seeing lots of mixed reviews on this and apparently a lot of Joba which scares me. Will listen soon.

I'm about to finish it up and I really really enjoyed it so I dunno. Joba didn't bother me.

  8. This is on some Big FIsh Theory shit. Really enjoying it (and not minding the Joba parts) but some people are going to hate this

  10. Yeah, there's no lack of bangers here, I think it's just the immediacy that's gone. There aren't any huge hooks that stand out on first listen, but I honestly think that's going to play to the record's strengths. Obviously going to have to spend more time with it, but it's definitely the switch-up they needed and I'm glad the Saturation era is over. This is a wild one.

I’m not the biggest Joba fan but I do agree he KILLS his part in that song. Amazing. I’m now stoked to listen at midnight.

  18. Joba is annoying as hell on J’ouvert, I like the beat though. Not gonna bother with the leak, excited to hear it tonight

So hyped to hear the studio version, hope they haven't messed with it too much with all these BFT comparisons lol

  22. Yeezus is going to be the obvious point of comparison for a lot of people, which is fine, probably going to see a few Death Grips comparisons too, but I think it's closest to the eclecticism of BTF. Regardless, the beats are fucking here

  23. "Tonya" is good, definitey one of the softer moments on an album that goes very hard
