Which parts didn’t you like? I think her delivery of the sandwiches line was a little sloppy but that’s on the Performance not the lyrics
I have no idea how this is doing on the charts but my goodness, this is a pitch perfect song when done this way. His cleans have never sounded better and Jordan’s falsetto kills it. I am even more excited than ever about the new EP.
Don't know if it's been discussed already, but I saw an interview with Oli recently, and the new EP/album will be their "Emo" album. Just as the last one was inspired by nu metal (his words). So I think you can expect more in the vein of Die4U.
Seems like the Ed Sheeran thread isn’t into this lol, but I honestly think this is a really cool moment for these guys. Ed Sheeran is kind of a natural fit for the pop crossover direction they’ve increasingly been leaning into, and Oli’s vocals fit well with his here. Seeing a bunch of love for it online.
Also worth noting - they released a cover of the Gran Turismo theme music for GT7 coming out soon. instrumental of course. Sounds like BMTH, but really fun nonetheless. Mostly the slick production work of Jordan I'm sure.
I have a very strong aversion to Ed Sheeran but the clip is awesome. Their voices almost blend into each other at times.
This fucking rocks. Fish is a genius, right? Between the last four records and their collabs, even the damn GTA song, he knows just what buttons to press to allow the guys to sound great without branching too far away (I don't care what anyone says, AMO is a phenomenal record). Oli's voice has gotten so good live. And the rest of the band sounds tight as hell.
Takes me back to the late 00’s/early 2010’s in the best way. The outro really has me intrigued too, really alluding to some more contemporary and trendy sounds. Curious to see how (or if) they’ll work them in, in any big way.
Well they said they would be going down that emo post hardcore route for this one. They weren't wrong! I'm loving this. Bring Me The Used Horizon. Also hearing som funeral for a friend here and there in the guitars.
