This is good, the last few years I've felt their setlist has been a bit samey / stale, good to see them mix it up slightly
if any of y'all are attending this tour and intend to get merch pleeeeease dm me. my girlfriend and i desperately want two of these bear keychains. she tried to get them at the LA show they did a few days back but they sold out pretty immediately. we'd be able to cover cost + shipping
Live record is awesome, but makes me want to pass on seeing them live with this current setlist. No TIAH representation makes me sad. Listened to There is a Hell in full for the first time in a couple years and it's incredible how well it's held up.
Yea they haven't had real TIAH rep since....That's the Spirit I think? Like occasionally they'd do Blessed With a Curse or It Never Ends I think but even then it was not super super common
always blows my mind when the songs/records that drive a band to the next level dont stay on the setlist. im usually the first to complain when bands get nostalgia heavy but ya gotta do something
In an ideal world they'd kick out the That's The Spirit songs they always play, just leave Drown and Doomed, and the remaining ones left can be TIAH songs
Was also hoping for more Next Gen songs. 5 songs they are playing are great, but Statues and Bullet could be great adds. Not complaining, it's just not enough drive for me to spend that amount of money to see them. Maybe I'll just wait and pick up a ticket last minute on the cheap
They’ve been playing for the most part this same set for like 2-3 years now. They need to change it up and definitely need to add TIAH songs
Thought about going to see them at Sonic Temple but woof, looked up the current set and I can’t imagine sitting through that. A majority of those songs gotta be in the bottom of BMTH songs I’d like to hear. I guess that’s what you get at a festival anyway. Holding out for some sort of throwback tour with tracks from the first 3 albums.
Went to 2 shows this weekend. Really an incredible show, one of the most cohesive and well done presentations I’ve seen. Seeing the more anthemic and emotionally heavy songs live is gonna go down as one of my finer concert memories.
Was there last night in the pit. Surprised how quickly the sold out show filled in given the 5p doors. Set was sick, having not seen them on the Post Human cycle, made me respect how bands level up production as their rooms get bigger. The floor was a little lightly sold for it to be “sold out”, which made for a lot of room to move around. Unfortunately every pit was basically a 5K around the arena floor, which just feels silly, but inevitable for a bigger metal-adjacent act at a certain point. I have a lot of feelings about the whole Metalcore/active rock crossover with The Plot in You and Motionless in White opening, but I’ll stay quiet since I’m no expert there.
I guess the re-recorded version of "Black and Blue" leaked last night. It honestly sounds really good lol I'm not a Count Your Blessings guy by any means, but the album always sounded very tinny and just poorly mixed in my opinion. This is a huge upgrade. Kinda excited to hear the rest.
Yeah, as someone who's never liked the album at all I'm interested in hearing the full thing after that.
