  2. Never liked the album and I doubt this will change my mind but I'll give it a listen for curiosity's sake

definitely edgelordy but I'd be lying if it didn't play a big part in the forming of my music tastes in high school

Re-listened to the album for the first in probably 10 years. The riffs are still good, but any song that is over 3 minutes got boring (except for the back half of off the heezay).

The lyrics are pretty bad and negative too. The best song is still 15 Fathoms, Counting imo

It’s cool Some people in here are stoked for this. I never actually heard the original because I got into them on Sempiternal And I couldn’t really get into the older stuff when I tried. I love all the stuff after though , I was literally jamming That’s the spirit on the way to work the other day and thinking how good it is and how well it holds up a decade later (as I sang along)

There is a Hell is a metalcore classic. I'm actually surprised you can't get into that one. Some absolutely incredible songs on there.

  9. I’m also in the camp of starting with the band during There Is A Hell and never listening to their first two. Still stoked to see how this turns out though.

Reminds me of when I saw them around this era (a bit before I think) with Penknifelovelife, and Oli had a clip on fringe that flew off during the second song.

    The season is never over.

Spot on as Ross moved to Cali to join Confide around Christmas time in 2006.

That was such a wild story at the time haha. I was friends with a few members of deathcore bands over a couple of different cycles, and I remember someone telling me he’d had a dream where Jesus came to him and told him to move to Cali for a bigger opportunity and faith wise. That’s where Confide came from, which arguably ended up being the bigger band.

The band were super pissed at the time and thought it was madness.

Clearly covering Slipknot's entire first album on one single track.

I've listened to Count Your Blessings a few times but never really go back to it, it's their worst album and Suicide Season is such a clear improvement in all regards. And yea There is a Hell is still their best album.

I did a BMTH album ranking that I posted on Instagram a few weeks ago, and put CYB (deservedly) as their worst album. I don't hate it, I have a lot of nostalgic memories to it, but everything else since is clearly a better record.

The amount of CYB glazers that came running was crazy.

Nex Gen is very easily their best for me and CYB is easily their worst.

There is a Hell is probably my favorite. Next Gen is fine but the lyrics get pretty dorky

To be fair, “the lyrics get pretty dorky” could apply to most BMTH stuff

  24. My favorite thing about Bring Me The Horizon is its hard to pick a favorite album. Each one fits such a different mood or time of year for me. I think I’d either go with There’s A Hell or Survival Horror but I don’t know.
