Did anyone else go this weekend? I was honestly blown away. So cool seeing it on the big screen. It felt like the most fully-realized version of this world-building thing they've been doing with Nex Gen. Can't wait to watch it again once it's streaming.

 

It was awesome! I wanted a bit more resolution to the plot they weaved throughout the show, it felt like it left off unresolved but not on a cliffhanger, but I love how they contextualized all of the material. I got a good laugh at some of the text they had on-screen in the pit "analyzing" the crowd. It's all so extra but very much in line with where the band is.

 

Any chance we get a blu-ray for this? Didn't get to pick up the DVD because I was holding out hope for a better res

I wonder if it will be 'reimagined' or direct re-recordings with Oli's recent vocal / scream style?

 

Based on the teaser it sounds like, and I'm hoping it is, a direct re-recording.

 

Vocals are definitely re-recorded, not sure about the rest

 

The packaging for the vinyl and coke green variant is neat, but I only liked a couple songs from the original. I’ll wait and listen to the re-recording first before I consider the vinyl

There also seems to be a bonus track. The only bonus track for the original was an eyeless slipknot cover so who knows what this will be

 

Full album re-record sounds to me like it's gonna be everything. And it's Oli and Lee doing it with Buster Odeholm mixing so I'm pretty sure it's gonna be all new.

Yeah especially after pretending it didn't exist at their live shows for the last c. 15 years

 

I only got int them from the singles of Suicide Season, so I'm excited to hear how this sounds. A new take on their old stuff

 

I have fond memories of this album because me and my friends got into it when I was 16, so we spent a lot of time in my car blasting this as loud as we (my Saturn) could handle. Not sure it needs this type of revisit in 2026 though.

 

i really don't want to see 40 year olds that notoriously hate the album trying to play an album they wrote when they were like 20

This thread need to lighten up! They actually seem to have put some effort behind this release. I'd much rather have this than the usual repress with a few demos at the end. I don't care if it needs a re-recording or if they don't enjoy playing it live. It's one show and I will enjoy it (well, if I could afford another trip to the UK...).

 

i mean i didn't like the album the first go around, but more power to the people excited for this

 

Can't help but Stevie wonder what the reaction would be if they had Fish on board.

 

pretty sure Fish won't even see the announcement.
