Don’t think theyre bad songs necessarily - I think they’re just better suited on another project and makes the album lose focus of what works, mainly the hyper-pop, throwback vibes
See, I am actually a huge fan of albums that don't commit to a mood. I think a lot of bands excise perfectly good tracks because they think it doesn't fit an album but sometimes it's good to have diversity, even intermissions, if you will, to break up an album and make it more interesting, or you run the risk of making an album one-note and exhausting.
Was Oli ever considered as a replacement for Chester in Linkin Park? When I saw Bring Me The Horizon a few weeks ago, that’s all I could think about during their set. His screams have that same pitch as Chester’s did. I think he would have given their comeback far more lasting power from an interest standpoint
I mean obviously he wasn't going to give up his gig with BMTH, which is probably a step down at this point. Just a thought.
I would think although he doesn’t have as many streams or sell out the kind of shows (though maybe that’s changing) that LP did, his publishing and all the associated income and creative freedom he gets in BMTH is still a huge plus.
