I cannot believe chanting for The Comedown actually worked. So awesome. I haven’t listened to a single new song yet but they all sounded pretty good live. As good as one can sound with Aragon’s shit sound quality. You couldn’t hear a word Oli said all night. Does anyone know who they have filling in for Jordan (on guitar)?
I don't know if it was the quality. There were long parts in songs where he didn't even sing and when he did it sound like the instruments overpowered his vocals
Their backing track vocals were louder than his microphone. I came to watch you sing/perform. Not watch you clap your hands together while the entire chorus plays on a back track. Other than that, fun show. Sorry to rehash that again
My wife was super pissed because we could hear everyone in this huge venue sing, everyone besides the singer of the band performing. She said it felt more like a singalong karaoke than a concert.
Yeah I guess as I think back I heard a lot more crowd singing over vocals this show. To be fair though the last three shows I saw at Aragon were Circa Survive, Brand New, and Manchester Orchestra and there were issues with the mix during all of them.
Just got back from tonight’s show. The Fever 333 are an experience live. They absolutely killed it and I don’t think I’ve ever seen such energy from the opening band. Thrice sounded amazing as always. This was my 21st time seeing them and they never disappoint. I’ve heard so many negative things about Oli live. I thought that he sounded much better than I thought he would even though there was a lot of back track. The band was spot on though. Overall a great show.
I wish I could go tomorrow, I was planning on buying a cheap resale ticket right as prices plunge day-of-show but-- The Minneapolis/St. Paul metro got nearly 4 inches of snow today and will get twice that by tomorrow, plus the fact the roads/sidewalks are completely iced over from erratic temperatures following the polar vortex, I just imagine traffic downtown will be a nightmare.
I'm calling bullshit on the vocal chord and I think the band is leaving Oli and Jordan. They all seemed very disinterested this entire tour.
That wouldn't shock me honestly. At this point in the bands career they could probably get away with having hired guns since so much of the new material relies on sampling and electronic elements.
I mean, do we really think that's what's going on? It's questionable now with Matt missing, and now this. It's such a loss for how much they have been amping up this Amo era.
wait seriously? He did make a comment in Los Angeles about how "this fucks up my throat" or something before they did it...
His screams during antivist weren’t backtracked and he went really low with it, so that could be a big part of it
Oof. If you would have posted this earlier I would have told you to check out Super Whatevr opening for Set It Off and With Confidence tonight. They're playing at another venue on that same casino, but I'm sure the show is about halfway over by now.
