I thought the whole thing about him peeing on a girl never actually happened? I remember reading about that a while back and then watched an interview with the band where they said the same thing.

I'm gonna have to give this one some more listens. First run, I feel it has elements of SS. (The video and music).

This is news to me. I'm gonna have to look into this some more. I don't know how I missed that post of Hannah's.

 

This song is so meh, Oli's parts are pretty bad

Song is cool - like the horns - the lyrics aren’t as bad as some are making them out to be

 

i like it haha. the lyrics definitely have sarcasm. or trying to portray an emo mood. but, this one's more interesting than mantra on first impression. and glad to see they are building on the direction of the last record by bringing in some hints of the old sound.

 

Very cool and good how Grimes is on the new album by a band led by an abusive misogynist! Extremely good!

"and hell yeah I'm the awkwardest". Yes they are.

 

The lyrical cadence in the new songs is atrocious. First verse sounds like they forced a bunch of lyrics in a section they don't make sense in. Super awkward flow, no clue how they decided to put this out?

They've always been bad but I used to be able to ignore them, but these are bad beyond listening.

lol like they've been bad for a while. TTS was like taking the lyricism of Antivist and applying it to an entire album

 

They've been different types of bad across their discography. I personally don't mind them on SS-TIAH since they kinda fit the music, but they do come across a lot clearer now

Their lyrics have never been poetry sure but there was always a degree of relatability, and fun ways to say things.

The ones here are just beyond that for me, unless again they're so bad that they purposefully did them that way. Which still doesn't really make them great to me.

 

My first thought while listening was that it sounded like an LB track. lol.

My favourite part of that song has always been "I will forget but I'll never forgive you", like Oli is just always angry at something but can't remember what it is
