I'm doing a kinda fun thing where I am listening to their discography, but inserting the companion songs where they belong in the tracklist right after the original. It's letting me focus on the differences in versions more, I think I'm apprecaiting the companions even more now
I know it's THE most overplayed, well know, even straightforward song... but somehow "First Day of My Life" still gives me chills when I listen to it
oh hell yes, it's a really good song. And it was the first one I heard (actually on mtv 2, I think) I've just bought the tickets to see them in Berlin, it's on a Friday night, and for Saturday I bought another ticket to see Hot Water Music with Quicksand, gonna be a great birthday trip for me, but it did cost quite much for both
Bright Eyes Setlist at SOMA, San Diego I only saw them one time and they didn’t play that one- or Lover I Don’t Have to Love and a few other of their bigger songs. My night just randomly had a bunch of deep cuts haha
Interview with Conor about the new record: Rolling the dice with Bright Eyes: a chat with Conor Oberst
with bells and whistles being one of the catchiest songs this band has written it makes sense that this one is shaping up to be a little more immediate than weeds
Neva Dinova is an Omaha band from back in the day, Henry Doorly Zoo is a zoo in Omaha, and the most obvious, Bright Eyes liked all three venues announcement posts Also the Chicago show literally points to them if you look at the day, stage and time for the Riot Fest set listed and the other shows are the day after and two days after Not sure what Ojos Brillantes means but it's still definitely Bright Eyes Edit: It's Bright Eyes in Spanish according to a post below haha
I live 20 minutes from Beachland Ballroom and judging by all their socials, I don't think anyone realizes it's BE, because there is no engagement on any of their posts about it. That said, very fucking cool!
Ya no one has any idea, realistically these shows should be sold out by now but not many people have connected the dots lol
