Bright Eyes - An Evening with Bright Eyes & Cursive - VEEPS Watched this the other night and it was awesome. Wish it was the full set from bright eyes but they only skipped like 2-4 songs from the real setlist I think.
Probably the wrong place to do this but selling two tickets to the red rocks show if anyone is interested. They (as in red rocks) fucked me and changed the date and now I can’t go because everything was setup around a certain date. HMU
Maybe rephrase that to the weather conditions fucked you, not the band or the venue who are looking out for the safety of their guests. Sucks the show got moved and obviously inconvenient for those who had travel plans, but that’s the risk of an outdoor show and the band, nor the venue, can control the elements.
Nah, he posted in the tour thread specifically saying the band/venue “fucked me” but I didn’t feel like responding in that thread.
Haha my bad. Just frustrated as the website states it will only cancel/change shows due to lightning within a 5 mile radius. Didn’t think the possibility of snow would warrant a full week change. Sorry being out 700 bucks and time and PTO and everything else doesn’t warrant a little emotion. Also my apologies my verbiage offended so many.
just for perspective, a few years ago there was a really bad hail storm that injured a lot of people because the venue didn't cancel the show because lightning wasn't observed per their policy. The venue has rarely canceled shows prior to that happening in 2023. Since then because of the numerous lawsuits against the city after that event, the city and the venue are much more likely to cancel shows now to prevent situations like that from happening again.
Snowstorm in May. Doesn’t get more emo than that. Feel for those who had plans around the show. All around crappy situation.
can definitely feel some empathy for people who booked flights/hotels and used pto for this that can’t make the quick turnaround. just a big bummer of a situation all around
Thanks for those being understanding. I wasn’t trying to shit on Bright Eyes or Red Rocks.. just frustrated and aired out my grievances here which I guess I shouldn’t have done. But in typical absolutepunk/chorus.fm there will always be the the good and the bad..
They won’t give a refund for the tickets? I thought it was pretty standard procedure for shows that change dates to offer refunds
I'm not trying to be mean, but buying resale tickets through a third party site for a show you have to make travel and hotel arrangements for, at an outdoor venue in a city that is known for unpredictable weather and frequent spring snow storms is juuuuuuust a bit too risky for me. I get it, it sucks and I'm not saying I don't feel sorry for you, either.
I didn’t. I bought them the day they went on sale. Or if I did I didn't realize they were resale. I used a presale code!? Haha damn. Good to know now, don’t buy from Vivid Seats. Was my first time buying tickets for Red Rocks so I must have fucked myself. The point being it was shitty it got changed. I guess I shouldn’t have come in here looking for any type of sympathy haha. Vivid was literally the site it took me to when I went to buy tickets the day they went on sale..
Axs is the official ticket provider for the venue, you can click any show on their website and every single link goes to axs
Cool cool. Like I said, I apologized and wasn’t aware. That wasn’t the experience I had. Now I’m informed. y’all must be a pleasure to be around. Fuckin a.
