This tour looks fanTASTIC!

 

My intro to Bright Eyes was sitting down and listening to a ripped copy of I’m Wide Awake at like 10 am on a snow day when I was probably 16? About as perfect of a first encounter as you can imagine. That one morning is definitely responsible for at least 5-10% of my overall music preferences lol

I was in some English class I kinda liked at the time and I remember on second or third listen thinking “wow some of these songs are like short stories and have symbolism and stuff” yeah no shit dumbass haha

 

When we did the definitive albums thing a few years ago I know I had I’m Wide Awake at least top 20. I think it’s probably like 8 or 9 at lowest for me now

 

The Cleveland date is selling 2 tickets for the price of one through Friday night

 

Made a last second decision on Friday to see them at The Wiltern in LA. Snagged a pit ticket for almost face value. They sounded fucking great. The videos circulating last year had me worried, but it looks like the time off did him well because it was a great show.

 

All the videos I have seen this tour, he looks and sounds healthy and great.

 

I received a head up about the project yesterday, as the band learned about the nonprofit I work at and is going to be sending a portion of the proceeds our way. Pretty awesome!

 

Update- the band's team just invited our org to table at their Boston show next month, and my boss is letting me be one of our team members to attend. Never actually got to see them live before, so I'm pretty excited.

 

That's awesome. They're incredible live so you're in for a treat.

 

I'll be there, can't wait!

 

Come to a different show instead like Baltimore/dc
