"White Shoes" is my pick for underrated minimalist song from Conor. There's not much to it, but he sounds so emotional on it, and it just sounds so good
White Shoes is a perfect song, no notes. Also love the the choice to make his vocals sound like he's just singing in a room, you can like hear the floor boards creaking.
Give it a few more weeks. They have really slowed down on reviews since they gutted it and moved it under GQ
Yeah seems like Bright Eyes' relevancy to the broader public is pretty much non existent at this point. I found it interesting how long it took to sell Lincoln Hall out a few weeks ago (assuming it eventually sold out) even after they stopped being secretive about it
not really feeling this album at all, seems super bland. All Threes and Hate were like watching paint dry
Yeah I don’t love this album, El Capitan rules though. I haven’t loved anything he’s done aside from a few BOCC songs since the people’s key. Everything since has generally just been a slog to get through
haven't felt the need to revisit this much unforunately. will probably end up at the bottom of any ranking that i would attempt. still some fun moments but overall a disappointment after weeds.
Just need to get the pendulum started early on the investing into every little detail follow-up album
