how was the title confirmed?

 

Someone who received information on the release of the album confirmed it to me, but I am not at liberty to discuss any of the information not public, per their request. Since the album title was previously leaked by NPR, I was able to share it.

 

sick...hoping that the release is sooner than later

 

Based on the release date I was told, it would make sense for them to announce the album officially soon, unless the album is being pushed back due to the virus (which the person who told me the information was unsure of).

"In January of 2020, Bright Eyes announced they had signed to indie imprint Dead Oceans for the release of ninth album Down in the Weeds Where the World Once Was and began sharing new songs in advance of the record's release."

My guess was originally a June release but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s pushed back.
