Just read the rest first two pages of this thread after having finished this and... yikes. Think I digested this a lot differently being in the dark about Landis.

 

Looks like the planned sequel just got canned.

So many untold stories from the Bright extended universe that we'll never get to experience now

 

I don’t believe it’s because of the slap

 

they'll look less bad if they can make it appear as though it's cause of that

 

The screenwriter has a problematic history

 

It’s because their stock is down like 70% over the last six months. They’re canceling stuff left and right.

 

It’s because this movie came out 5 years ago, was pretty universally disliked, and they were never actually gonna make this sequel.
