I'm definitely curious. Also, I'm wondering if Will Smith is following in the footsteps of Adam Sandler with a Netflix film since his previous few (outside of Suicide Squad) have been flops?
I really don't think so, I think Will Smith signed on and maybe even shot before Netflix got involved. He still has a ton of good stuff left in him. Trailer looks weird but Ayer and Smith have me sold.
I swear when this trailer aired during the Oscars I thought it was a spoof of Suicide Squad or something; Killer Croc and Harley Quinn are even in it. The fact that it was directed by David Ayer is kind of a weird coincidence.
It's Ayer using a lot of the same "Suicide Squad" people: IMDb: Most Popular People Credited in "Bright (2017)" And Credited in "Suicide Squad (2016)"
Toward the middle is something that looks like Killer Croc, even has a hoodie on. Towards the end there's a pale woman with messy platinum blonde hair, like Harley Quinn.
Yeah, I also thought that was killer croc. I hated Suicide Squad, I don't like Max Landis...this looks straight goofy.
Excited for this still. Calling this the worst movie of 2017 in the same year that emoji movie and Transformers 5 came out is pretty hyperbolic.
This is gonna be incredible. I actually had passes to go see a screening tonight at the theater, but I'm bummed I can't make it. Would be interesting to see with an audience.
Hahaha. I thought this looked fucking awful and was shocked by how many people I’ve seen say it looks great
Really? What's wrong with Ayer as a director? Before Suicide Squad (which a ton of people liked) his movies were all pretty cool. Fury is fantastic.
Fury and End of Watch were just alright. Suicide Squad was horrible. And this doesn’t sound like it’s any better.
Training Day is his best film and none of his other stuff even comes close. This movie looks ridiculous and awful. I saw something a few days ago about Will Smith signing on to do a sequel for this already...
I thought Ayer just wrote Training Day? He's actually written some good movies too. My fav is still Fury but man, End of Watch was really good.
