The first two episodes just came out yesterday. Anyone watch? I watched the first one and it was good.
My only complaint is like, this show recognized it could just put black people in high society and that is totally not a problem but it still has to have historical accurate beards and haircuts even though it turns 90% of the guys on the show into total uggos??!?! sure I guess it helps Simon stand out but like... everyone else is so bad looking
I could definitely be down for eight seasons of this, one focusing on each Bridgerton. Is that what they did in the books? I just glanced over the titles Andrew it seemed to fit plus it’s certainly a decent narrative structure
If the estates shown in Bridgerton use candles for light because they don’t have electricity, where do the large fountains outside get their power to operate?
Does anyone else realize that what the duchess did to the duke was rape— non consent for impregnating even when he begged her to “wait” more than once? I like the show enough but I’m not happy about how this is glossed over as not a problem. If the roles were reversed and a man forced his sperm into a woman against her will, that would be completely unacceptable!
If you've ever read a romance novel before, then it's just as fun. As long as reading about sex doesn't make you cringe, because it's just as risqué as the show. You should know each book only focuses on one storyline, no b plots, just whichever Bridgerton is getting married in that book.
Yeah season 1 was definitely better. Season 2 was still fun just felt like it was missing something. Could be the plot felt a lot more predictable. Or maybe the lack of RJP
I kind of get now why they split the season. The ending of episode 4 is a huge scene book readers have been waiting for. So everyone has to stew over that for awhile before the second half. I kind of like not being able to binge the whole thing.
