From Facebook, about Silence: "I recorded this song because I believe in the message. I think it speaks to our times in this country. There can be peace even in a dark place. May we all find it soon."
Great show in Detroit two nights ago. Seemed he replaced Color Me Black with Her Majestys Service which was a bit of a curveball and a very slight letdown. That said, Little Nightmares and If Your Prayers (with guitar dueling at the extended end) were badass. Wish Brian would ditch the covers he has been playing but that's my only real quibble. Show was awesome.
Hard to say..just seemed like low energy, and the crowd didn't seem too into the show..or at least my section. Brian also didn't seem in the best of moods but then again he has been like that before. Last time I saw him solo for Painkillers in the same venue it was night and day..he was having a great time but this time felt like a lot of going through the motions. But, maybe I'm wrong and I was just expecting a different show. Either way, I heard Watson live so my money was well spent.
I'm curious how he will be based off that review. He seems to be having the time of his life (and increasing in happiness) with each show I've seen on his solo touring. I saw him in Maine at maybe the first show of his solo Painkillers touring where he seemed a tad nervous. But at the next 2-3 shows I saw him at in Vermont/Boston, he literally was SO HAPPY and SO PUMPED to be playing, Maybe it was just an off night.
Well, the good news is you aren't missing anything. Earlier in the tour, he was playing 17 songs, all his. Now, he's playing 17 of his songs, and three covers. The covers are just extra on top of what everyone else got this tour.
I thought the covers were great. "Bell Bottom Blues" and "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright" both suit him so well (and are both all-time great songs). As for originals, you can definitely add "Little Nightmares" to the list of all-time great Brian Fallon live songs.
Yeah, Caitlin Rose was awesome. She has a strong voice. Like, singing just sounds easy for her in a good way. I was waiting for her to open it up at times, but she has a lot of control and intent with her voice.
She’s awesome. Her mom co-wrote a bunch of Taylor Swift’s biggest hits. She hasn’t put out an album in a few years, but there’s one from 2013 that I like a lot.
@Joe4th what did the merch situation wind up looking like? specifically what vinyl and if the tour poster was in stock and was this one Brian Fallon "Forget Me Not" take 2 Spring Tour 2018 i miss them using El Jefe/Rockets are Red so much, these feel so cheap in comparison imo
I don’t remember seeing any vinyl. Tour poster was sold out so if you wanna get one, order it on there. Show was awesome. He had such a fun time and sounded incredible.
I have the Brian Fallon forget me not poster if anyone wants to buy it. My wife bought me one as a surprise gift and i had already ordered one, so i have an extra. Let me know though!!
this tour poster appears to be unofficial, but i don't even care, it's so much better and i would've snagged it but i missed it by a couple of hours :( Brian Fallon - 2018 Limited Edition Tour Poster edit: actually it is official, but Brian went in a different direction and went with Hellgate. he allowed Garageland to sell the artist proofs. now i'm real bummed i missed it.
