I think this song and "Forget Me Not" go well together. Prayers kicks it off in an understated way, then FMN picks up the energy. Can't wait to see how the rest of it sounds.
Definitely intrigued by Etta James, her being amazing and all, and Neptune, it being a town right next to Asbury.
Obviously I cannot wait to hear the whole thing - but just based on song titles and track length I am insanely curious to hear what 'Neptune' and 'Watson' sound like.
Seems like an odd opening track for the album. I guess it’s just in comparison how A Wonderful Life, 45, Great Expectations, and American Slang just brings you right in. It’s just a little different. But either way, the song is cool and his vocals deliver with ease. I love him and I’m convinced I’ll never hate an album he writes. Even Get Hurt gets a “pass” from me. He’s doing well with it sounding so upbeat and happy, but lyrically very somber.
Interesting song. Like it, not sure I love it on first blush. He sounds great vocally and the long outro is unique for a Fallon song. I dig the vibe. Bet it's a grower.
This seems like the perfect song to open the follow up to Painkillers with. Definitely feels like it brings his story full circle.
Well that was awesome!...I just wonder if he recorded all these solo songs with TGA,If they would get more attention ...I know a lot of people who know and loved Gaslight but they don’t know about his solo things...damn I just wish for him get fucking big...hope Killers take him on tour
Big fan of the extended outro. Always liked when he/Gaslight would open songs up a bit in live performances and I'm glad he's starting to do that on record too. The song lengths on the tracklist make me think there will be a bit more of that.
He said his wife is British, so maybe it’s a Bond Term “Her Majesty’s Service”, he’s used in his own life/situation. Or not.
That's the one I'm most curious about based on the title. Maybe because I am picturing Brian singing to like... British butlers and Sherlock Holmes or something.
Somebody better hire Brian some bodyguards, I’m afraid Nic Cage is going to try stealing him in the next National Treasure
I'm pretty sure it was a mistake but it looks like My Name Is the Night and See You on the Other Side were uploaded to Itunes temporarily -- you can't purchase them now but the 90 second clips are up. Obviously the smart thing is to not listen but for those with no self control like me, they sound great. Only listened a couple times once I realized you can't get the whole songs. EDIT: Now they're gone. Hope I'm not hallucinating Brian Fallon songs. Need February.
