Deadwood is the one with Timothy Olyphant right? Really been meaning to watch that, loved him in Santa Clarita Diet (I realize it's a very different show and role lol)
I’m really not a fan of most the new HBO stuff at all. They mostly can get your attention fine but they tend to either be underwhelming or literally circle the drain. Barry and Chernobyl are about the only notable good I can come up with.
Im not sure what it would take to get me to watch that but I have a feeling I wouldn’t like it at all
Best show I've watched all year, probably tied with the final season of Mr. Robot. If you're not a superhero guy, I wouldn't worry about that. It's more of a drama and critique of vigilantism and white supremacy. But ultimately, up to your tastes!
been avoiding it cause i am not down with superhero movies/shows at all but maybe i'll take a peep. also, is mr. robot good?
Yess, Mr. Robot was fantastic! Definitely in my top 3 series. Just full of mind-blowing twists, and the final season does such a good job tying up loose ends that were introduced as early as season 1. Phenomenal acting, and the final season feels cinematic- it's just shot very well. Some folks thought S2 was a bit slow, and I sympathize with that having watched it live each week, but when you binge it, I found myself loving it, and it was important for setting up the groundwork of all the crazy shit that happens for the rest of the show
The last season of Mr Robot is easily one of the best seasons of television ever. Just fantastic on every level and really hit me emotionally too.
Mr Robot was so well directed and I enjoyed the ride, but outside of the main character I never felt any of the side characters got their due which keeps me from ranking Mr. Robot among the others
Yeah, I love the arcs of Pryce, White Rose, Dom, and Darlene especially. I think they handled everyone really well Hell, they pulled off a solid conclusion with Vera and I thought he was just a waste of space initially
I never dove into Mr Robot, I .mso put off by Rami's horrendous job in Bohemian Rhapsody that it'll take a lot for me to watch it. Yes I know they are vastly different, but it's such a bad taste left in my mouth
I can totally understand how someone's role in one film can turn you off to them, but I will say that Rami is perfect for the role he plays in Mr. Robot; I honestly couldn't think of a better person to play his character I've never seen Bohemian Rhapsody so I'm sure that helps lol
this is my biggest obstacle at getting my wife to watch it with me. she absolutely abhorred him in that movie.
