Loved that beetle callback

 

Can you remind me of the beetle thing? It's been so long since I've watched this show, I'm gonna need to watch a recap for sure.

iirc there's a scene where Jesse is looking at a beetle and lets it crawl on his hand. someone else (can't remember who exactly) stomps on the beetle and kills it. one of those "Jesse has a heart" scenes.

started rewatching this last night because El Camino looks really good and I've forgotten more about this show than I remember. Might fuck around and finally watch BCS afterwards

 

It’s a slow start but it’s truly every bit as well written and shot as BB

 

Exactly what I did, and yeah definitely realized I forgot a lot about BrBa. BCS was awesome, I can't wait for the next season.

 

Finished season 3 last night. I forgot how heartbreaking it is to see Jesse kill Gal for Walt. I was watching still hoping he wouldn't do it and just tell Gal to runaway or something.

Also, Fly is such a great episode.

 

I remember Fly being so divisive when it came out. Always loved it.

 

I think a lot of people didn't like it because it doesn't move the plot forward in a huge way, but it's one of the best character-focused episodes of the whole show.

 

Rian Johnson’s direction on Fly is perfect

 

The Fly could have been a sideplot of an episode with more going on and that's really my only complaint. It was great at being character-focused, but not really necessary to build an entire episode out of it.

Although it really gets great after Jesse drugs Walt and you see a shred of regret and remorse from Walt about Jane. That was a powerful moment and he came so close to confessing right there and then

 

I like fly a lot but I got to it on my rewatch and fell asleep two days in a row trying to watch it at night

Edit: which is to say it is not a very compelling watch in my opinion

 

Fly is great

 

Fly sucked.

Everything else is great.

 

5 episodes to go on my rewatch. I hate Walt so much.

Dumb question maybe but will the movie hit Netflix at exactly midnight Fri, anyone know? Probably won't be able to see it in theaters but might try to stay up and wait for it Thursday night
