Started listening to the GraphicAudios of Mistborn and am completely hooked...I'm on Era 1 Book 3 but what should I do next? I bought Secret History but it seems like I should wait to finish Era 2 before reading that?

Should I just jump over to Stormlight Archive, then Era 2, or should I do Elantris next?

 

Definitely read Elantris before Secret History.

I'd go Elantris - Secret History - Stormlight - Era 2.

There is a little bit of spoilery stuff for Era 2 in Secret History, but it also makes Era 2 make more sense, so I don't consider it a spoiler.

 

I think Brandon says to read Secret History between book three and four of era two?

 

Wow, already got the shipping email for SP4. The Year of Sanderson is almost over.

 

I just put The Sunlit Man onto my phone to listen. Should hopefully start it tomorrow!

 

I’m 5 chapters into The Sunlit Man and I’m just already blown away. This is like the Cosmere version of Speed.

 

I’m on chapter seven. Is he on the same world as White Sand?

 

I don’t believe so, that world was mentioned in the first chapter or 2 I think.

 

Threnody was just mentioned and I am just Cosmere aware enough that I should know what that means.

 

I need to learn how to spoiler tag haha…. Threnody is the setting of Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell.

I forgot what it was like to just plow through Cosmere stories and forget to do other things, haha.

Finished Tress recently, then devoured Dawnshard (Rysn has always been a top-five Sanderson character for me), and then yesterday thought oh, I'll read a little of Rhythm of War before I go do some other stuff... and like 150 pages later, other stuff was not done.

I'm going to have to intentionally temper my reading pace because there's a bunch of spooky stuff I want to read this month. But absolutely loving it and I'm pretty sure SP3 and 4 will follow right on the heels of ROW.

 

I'll be done with SP4 in a few hours...

As far as I know, it’s between SA5 and SA6 and roughly Mistborn Era 4

 

Chapter 9 reveal....Ummm...holy fuck?

EDIT: Oh wait, still crazy but I read it wrong lol, I thought that Wit asking if it was Kal, not Nomad, thereby making Wit Nomad and the man who's actually Wit Kal. I guess Kal being brought up in the first place threw me, not sure why that's where Nomad's brain went, but I'm guessing that will make sense.

 

I didn’t realize the gap between 5 and 6 was going to be that massive of a time jump.

 

Well, not knowing what actually happens in 5 stumps it so maybe just after 5 is the best guess. I think the jump is only meant to be 10 years but it’s always hard to pinpoint exactly when these are set.

 

It would be super nice if he gave us a timeline sooner rather than later.

The Nomad reveal was so intriguing because it wasn’t any character I expected. I expected Renarin at one point, before realizing it couldn’t have been because of his main language.

 

OMG chapter 37. When I read Nomad's spear Kata and then he says "Bridge Four" I had a visceral reaction. I pumped my fist and had a full Jesse from Breaking Bad reaction punctuated with the word bitch.

My wallet didn’t need my eyes to see those. Especially not the same week I’m sad that I didn’t get a huge raise/new job that could afford it and want to spend money, haha.

I’m not sure I will be either. Happy with the other Gollancz ones and they’re a lot of money! Maybe I’ll get WoK just for the quote but I’m doubting it.
